ABOUT US
MEET CAPTAIN BRUCE
My passion for fishing started as a youngster, commercial fishing with my grandfather. We fished for lobster & sea bass, crabbing, gill netting and long-lining for tuna/swordfish. My father gave me the rod & reel "bug" taking me every chance he had for trout, flounder, drum and bass.
Some of my accomplishments include:
Qualifying for 4 national BASS fishing championships (coming only 10 ounces from the Bass Master Classic!)
Holding a USCG Master Captain 100-ton endorsement
Earning charter licenses for both Delaware and Maryland
My expertise is in precision structure fishing for flounder but I also pursue striped bass, drum, sea bass, spanish mackeral, tuna and mahi. I enjoy crabbing and clamming which my granddaughters love! And on "bad wind" days I hand tie a variety of jigs and rigs that are proven fish catchers – shop them here!
With Bad Wind charters I enjoy pursuing my passion of spending time on the water and meeting great folks. My expectation is to show you a great time on the water and exchange knowledge, experiences and laughs.
MEET THE MATES
John Bruning
Another Delmarva native with a long fishing history. John is very knowledgable and has degrees in Wildlife Fisheries Resources and Conservation Ecology. John will work very hard to ensure you have a great day on the water. Please remember he works for tips!
Ralph Redden
Ralph is the most passionate fisherman I've ever met. At times he'll be more excited than our guests! He has spent countless days on the waters of Delmarva and will work his butt off to give you a great experience.
